Connections

Fettleboard and Fettledesk

Link changes to Fettleboard cards and Fettledesk tickets by mentioning them, and have tickets updated and resolved as changes merge.

Fettlecode works with the other Fettle apps. Connect them in a repository's Settings → Integrations, then mention a card (FB-12) or a ticket (IT-14) in a change's title or commit message to link them.

Fettleboard

Cards a change mentions show it, with its state, and Fettleboard's "pull request merged" automations run when it's submitted. This uses Fettleboard's existing GitHub connection, so Fettleboard needs nothing new.

  1. In Fettleboard, open Settings → Integrations → GitHub, enter the Fettlecode repository's name (owner/repo, shown in Fettlecode's Integrations panel) and pick the board. Fettleboard shows a payload URL and a secret.
  2. In Fettlecode, open the repository's Settings → Integrations, and paste them under Fettleboard as the Payload URL and Secret.

If a delivery fails, the panel shows the last error.

Fettledesk

Tickets a change mentions link to it and show its status. Creating, merging and abandoning a change each add an internal note to the ticket, and tickets can be resolved when the change is submitted.

  1. In Fettledesk, make a personal token from an account that can see the projects you'll mention. (Personal tokens come with Fettledesk's AI connections, in a coming version: your avatar → AI connections → New personal token.)
  2. In Fettlecode, open the repository's Settings → Integrations, and under Fettledesk enter the Fettledesk address and the personal token.
  3. Tick Resolve linked tickets when their change is submitted if you want that.

The panel then shows which Fettledesk projects it can see.

When the apps run on the same private network, Fettlecode needs INTEGRATIONS_ALLOW_PRIVATE=true to reach them. With Docker Compose it's off unless you set it.
